How do I install Orange charger?

Orange Outlets are very simple to install. First be sure to turn off the circuit breaker, then attach the leads from the Orange Outlet to the corresponding colored leads that go to the breaker with the included Wago connectors or appropriately sized wire nuts. Finally screw the Outlet into the double-gang back-box, and turn the circuit breaker on. After a few minutes the Outlet will come online. Check out our full install manual

How do I manage access control and who can use Orange chargers?

Orange puts the power in your hands with customizable access control. Within the Orange Dashboard, you have the flexibility to configure access to the chargers however you’d like: from being all-inclusive, welcoming anyone to charge, to invite-only, reserved exclusively for your residents and employees, or even a blend of both worlds. Orange gives you the keys to control who plugs in and also the freedom to set variable charging rates tailored to different groups.

Do my drivers need an adapter to use your Outlets?

Most electric vehicles come equipped with a mobile connector designed to work seamlessly with the Orange Level 1 Outlet (120V). For a quicker charge with our Orange Level 2 Outlet (240V), an affordable adapter (NEMA 6-20) can usually be purchased from the vehicle’s manufacturer. Having trouble finding an adapter? How does the usage based fee work?

Say goodbye to recurring monthly bills and fixed fees with Orange. Our simple and transparent usage-based fee seamlessly integrates into the price of electricity for drivers. You can rest assured that you'll fully recover energy costs, plus the freedom to add any desired markups with reimbursements delivered to you monthly.

Orange does not have a fixed monthly fee or revenue share where you might never recoup your costs. Instead we have a simple usage-based fee that is added onto the price of electricity that drivers pay. As the property, you are welcome to add any additional markup that is 100% of your profit.

How do our residents get charged and when do I get reimbursed?

Your residents need to download the Orange app and enter their credit card information to start charging. Orange charges drivers on a monthly cycle for the energy they have utilized and reimburses the property every month.

How do I let my residents know we’ve installed Orange chargers?

How do I set up my Orange charger account?

Download the Orange app from Google Play or Appstore before heading down to your garage. Create an account and enter your credit card information.

How do I start charging my EV with an Orange charger?

Park in a spot with your vehicle’s charge port within reach of an Orange Outlet and hit ‘Scan QR Code’ on the app to connect to the Outlet.

Using a mobile charger, plug it into the Outlet and then into your vehicle’s charge port. Once your car starts charging, the clear Orange logo will turn green on the outlet.

When you are done charging, end your session via the app and remove your mobile charger from the vehicle and outlet.

Charge session data accumulates costs based on energy usage. All charges are added up and billed to your credit card once at the end of the month.
